Water is pumped from the basin to the heat exchanger further to the cooling tower and back by passing different test equipment and control sensors.
The heat exchanger is heated by steam that is generated by our own steam generator. The cooling water runs through the inner of the tube and the outside is heated up.
Tubes out of the target material depending on the condition (e.g.: Cast Iron, Copper) can be installed and investigated after the trial. It can be settled-up as equipment to test our scale or corrosion inhibitors.
The ASTM Coupon test rack allows us to test our corrosion inhibitors in different stages of our product developments, check on synergies effect of different raw materials and to optimize current inhibitors.
Our STKKL test circles include separate running ASTM coupon racks to run a trial at 2 different temperature stages within one trial: Cooling part and heating part after Heat exchanger. The flow rate can be set to customer conditions as well as to the target flow rate by adjusting the valves.
Three coupons can be installed for each of the test racks. The material of the coupons can be selected based on the development targets.

Product combinations or raw materials can be dosed via the dosing equipment. To avoid microbiological growth biocide is also injected. Even Salt solutions can be dosed whenever we need to adapt the conditions.
All pumps can be controlled automatically be setting either a certain dosing time and duration, permanent dosing or dosing according to make-up water amount.
STKKL System contains a variable opportunity to install further the equipment such as Corrator Electrodes to measure the Corrosion Rate (in MPY) or our HydroBio® Advance – An online method to determine and monitor biofilm in all water systems.
The Cooling tower is the heat rejection part of our test circle: Warm Cooling Water coming from the heat exchanger enters - Cold Cooling Water leaves after eliminating excess heat by evaporation
